Medium: Watercolour on Paper (16"x12")

The famous LNER locomotive 4468 'Mallard' of the A4 Pacific Class thunders out of a tunnel. Sir Nigel Gresley designed the elegant and streamlined A4's and they were among the fastest locomotives running at the time. Indeed, 'Mallard' reached an astonishing 126mph on one occasion in 1938, a speed record for steam that has never been surpassed!
