Winter Victory

A Soviet VVS MiG-3ud fighter shoots down a German Junkers Ju87D-3 dive bomber in flames. The summer camouflage of both aircraft is apparent under the hastily applied white distemper on both aircraft. The MiG has red wings to aid recovery in the event of a forced landing, and bears the Cyrillic slogan "Za Stalina!", For Stalin!.

Virgin Atlantic Airways Boeing 747-400 G-VROS, ‘English Rose’, lands after another long-haul transatlantic flight. English Rose entered service with Virgin Atlantic in March 2001. The famous “Scarlet Lady” pinup girl proudly flies the Union Flag on the nose, with the slogan “Britain’s Flag Carrier”.
